Other Philosophical Movements

The New Thought movement is a set of new religious ideals, some of which coalesced to some degree, in the early 19th century United States of America. Some New Thought adopters taught that sickness originates and can be cured in the mind, or that poverty and suffering must not be alleviated by the state.

Humanism is a philosophical stance whose definition has shifted over time. Some modern Humanists define their philosophy as rejecting the divine, excluding those who attend religious gatherings, or encouraging of a life stance open to democratic collaboration.

With regards to the above movements or philosophies, we do not hold to any of these precepts or limitations.
